Helping Hands!

This canvas was done for a fundraiser for my mom's class at Oxford University School. They have a live auction every year to benefit the school. Every class has to enter an item for the auction, and mom's class wanted to help make their item. I had seen one similar to this with the handprints on a friend's site, and I thought it would be a great idea since she only has 10 students and the school's motto is "Planting the Roots for Your Child's Future"! The kids were so sweet while we made their handprints, and they were so excited today at the finished product. Parents are the ones that bid at the auction, so it will be exciting to see which student will get to take it home! I will post a picture later hopefully with the kid's picture with the canvas, but I am getting approval for that from their parents.

New Adventure....

As most of you know, I have the great blessing of being able to stay home with Myla. Obviously, the only paycheck that I receive is the joy of being with her day in and day out....which, is worth far more than money!! Unfortunately, in today's world, money is a necessity! God has blessed us tremendously, and we are so grateful to Him for all we have, but we need a little extra income to make things work.

Saying all that, I am embarking on a new business adventure called Signs of Life. I have always enjoyed writing and making signs and cards, etc. Michael asked me one night what I really enjoyed doing, and I told him that although I had not done a lot of it, I thought I would really enjoy painting canvases for nurserys, homes, etc. He said he thought that I should explore that creative side of myself, so here we are!!!!

I will post pictures of canvases that I have done on this site, but my desire is to custom make them to match your nursery, or whatever you need it for. Please send me a comment or email at meredithmeurrier@yahoo.com if you are interested in getting a canvas.

Thanks for your support!!!
